We are excited to share with you the launch of the Malaffat website, featuring a newly published dossier.

"Localities and Dislocalities" explores the dynamic relationship between the local and the dislocal – how these notions shape and redefine each other through cinema practices.

Bringing together voices from across the network, this collection of essays, reflections, and archival inquiries engages with questions of place, identity, and artistic exchange.

Edited by Nour Ouayda, the dossier explores cinema’s role in constructing, challenging, and transforming spatial and cultural belonging, featuring contributions by Malak Makar & the Zawya Cinema team, Samer Bou Saleh, Sahar Mandour, Talal Afifi, Insaf Machta, Reman Sadani & Ali Shmayyel.
