Laila Abdalla is a freelance journalist and content creator with a focus on storytelling across platforms. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, she moved to Germany in 2015 to study Cross Media Journalism & Public Relations at Stuttgart Media University. During her studies, she received a scholarship to attend a semester abroad at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, New York.

After earning her Bachelor's degree, she completed a video journalism scholarship program at Mediaschool Bayern, where she co-created and produced a successful Instagram video series promoting inclusive, anti-discriminatory language. She later joined Deutsche Welle (DW), first as a journalism trainee and then as an Editor in the Middle East department.

Laila currently works as a Social Media & Content Creator at the Network of Arab Alternative Screens (NAAS), while continuing her freelance work in journalism and digital media.
